DRE Cooperation
The African Cluster Centres (ACCs) in Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Burkina Faso and some partners in Brazil have vast amount of data, such as the open access African Music Journal and the International Library of African Music (ILAM) archive.
The Digital Research Environment Team will work together with the ACCs to identify the scope, nature, quality and size of the research data that can be linked to the DRE platform.
Envisaged Collaborations in the Africa Multiple Cluster of Excellence
This linked data will be integrated to create data mashups that will help users discover trends and gain insights from the data. Beyond the preservation of the data, the ACCs can increase their research visibility by interaction with diverse communities specialized in various domains, and at the same time create value from their data. Value creation may involve developing solutions on top of existing datasets.
