Staff and Infrastructure

The Knowledge Lab (KL) is administered by the Vice Dean of Research and her team. In consultation with the cluster’s Management Board, they organise the cluster’s regular formal meetings, based on the topic for each academic year. They also coordinate ad hoc meetings or support members in organising them. With the support of the Digital Research Environment (DRE) staff including data curators, the team will also facilitate virtual access and keep a digital archive of all of the KL’s undertakings and events.

While the staff maintains the KL's infrastructure, cluster members and their invited guests animate and run the KL itself by offering lectures, seminars, workshops, etc. The KL also hosts activities organised by non-academics in order to foster public engagement and open up new perspectives.

Together with the Annual Theme Group, the Vice Dean of Research and his team organise the regular meetings of the Cluster, which reflect the respective annual theme but also the broad spectrum of the subgroups of the Cluster. With the support of the Digital Research Environment (DRE) staff, the team helps with access to virtual meetings and maintains a digital archive of events in the Knowledge Lab.

While the staff maintains the infrastructure, the cluster members and their invited guests animate and run the Knowledge Lab themselves by offering lectures, seminars, workshops, etc. Non-academics are also active in the Knowledge Lab to promote public engagement and open up new perspectives for knowledge creation.
