Fig Tree (Feigenbaum), 2018

During the war in Ethiopia, members of the Jewish community tried to flee to Israel in the late 1980s. As Mina's family gradually leaves the country, she fears that her friend Eli, a Christian, could be forcibly recruited. This dramatic and partly autobiographical film offers an unusual perspective on the civil war in Ethiopia.
Director: Alamork Davidian, (Ethiopia/Israel)

Farming (In my skin), 2019

Tilbury, Sessex, United Kingdom: A black teenager is placed by his Nigerian parents in a white British family. Faced with an identity crisis, Eni finds himself at the mercy of a group of skinheads for whom he will fight without ever being accepted. “Farming” is a ruthless autobiographical account by the director that bears witness to the reverse side of a practice of the 1960s and 1980s and the brutality of racial cleavages in the United Kingdom.
Director: Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Nigeria/UK)
