Young Academics in the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanies (BAdW)
with Dr Benjamin Schönfeld, Head of the ‘Young Academy’

The Young Academy of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanies (BAdW) supports excellent young sciensts in the postdoctoral phase in Bavaria who are striving for a leading posion in their respecve discipline. For the duraon of their funding, the
scholarship holders are associate members of the Academy, enrich academy life through their acvies and benefit from the BAdW's outstanding network. They parcipate in commi(ees and working groups and develop interdisciplinary events and new research iniaves among themselves and with the Academy's full members.

Dr Benjamin Schönfeld is the Coordinator of Young Academy and Head of Research Documentaon, Archive and Library, at the Bavarian Academy of Science and Humanies. The event is conceived as an outreach to doctoral and postdoctoral researchers at the university of Bayreuth who are interested in knowing about the opportunies offered by the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and possibly applying membership. As part of the agenda, two of our alumni, Prof. Dr. Gilbert Shang Ndi and Prof. Dr. Anna Schenk will share insights from their membership and its implicaons for their respecve careers.
