Shifting the Lense: Empowering Gender & Intersectional Sensitive Struggles through Photovoice in Lagos
13.04.2026 | 5pm
Exhibition Room, FZA
PHOTO EXHIBITION
The exhibition opens with a round table discussion reflecting on Women, Work and Money. The exhibition is a result of a GO Forschung funded project successfully executed by junior researchers Marie Nadege Tsogo Momo and Carla Coburger. It show-cases how the people of Oworonshoki – a low-income suburb in Lagos, Nigeria perceive money. Other than interviewing the people, the researchers used Photovoice and let the people express their perceptions of work and money through photography. This amazing outcome is a must see.
