The portfolio Early Career & Equal Opportunity (EC & EO) in the Cluster focusses on the support of early career researchers in academic and administrative matters and takes care of the doctoral and postdoctoral fellows’ needs and desiderata.
It is headed by the Vice Dean EC & EO who is, at the same time, the Dean of the Bayreuth International Graduate School of African Studies, BIGSAS. The Vice Dean EC & EO is supported by the academic coordinator of EC & EO and the coordinator of BIGSAS.
In consultation with the Vice Dean of Research, the portfolio EC & EO implements qualification measures and offers measures for competences that are transferable also beyond the academic career to complement the research and training for the doctoral fellows, postdocs and junior research group leaders who are based in the Academy.
